This Clinical Attachment in Nuclear Medicine is designed to provide healthcare professionals with structured clinical exposure to molecular imaging and radionuclide therapy, focusing on the application of radioactive substances for diagnosis and treatment within a hospital setting.


Program Focus

The program is designed to enhance participants' knowledge of Nuclear Medicine through supervised clinical exposure. This includes:

  • Diagnostic Molecular Imaging: Exposure to PET-CT, SPECT-CT, and planar scintigraphy across various clinical indications including oncology, cardiology, and neurology, with a focus on scan acquisition protocols and patient preparation.

  • Radionuclide Therapy: Insight into the administration of radiopharmaceuticals for therapeutic purposes, such as I-131 for thyroid diseases and Lutetium-177 for neuroendocrine tumors, including patient selection, treatment delivery, and post-therapy monitoring.

  • Radiopharmacy and Radiation Protection: Understanding the preparation and quality control of radiopharmaceuticals, dose calibration, and strict adherence to Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R) and ARSAC licensing requirements.


Expected Outcome

Upon completion of the clinical attachment, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of Nuclear Medicine services within an NHS hospital in the UK. The program aims to strengthen theoretical knowledge, improve familiarity with clinical workflows involving unsealed sources, and enhance understanding of best practices in molecular imaging and radiation safety.

  • Application to the Program: You can expect to receive a decision on your application within 4 to 6 weeks after you submit it.

  • Visa Application Timeline: To ensure you have enough time for the visa process, you must apply to the program at least 4 months before your intended start date. This is a critical step, as obtaining a UK visa can take time.

  • Support for Your Visa Application: Once accepted, you will receive an invitation letter from the host hospital. This letter is a crucial document that will assist you with your visa application, as it provides official confirmation of your training placement in the UK.

Application Process and Requirements

  • Required Documents: To apply, you must submit the following documents:

    1. Your Curriculum Vitae (CV).

    2. University Diploma.

    3. Specialty Diploma (Resident doctors are also eligible to apply).

    4. Any other international exam results you may have.

    5. English Test Result if available.


We have partnerships with many hospitals around UK. Evaluation process takes from 30 to 45 days, if you have been accepted, we will send you the acceptance letter from the hospital, then you have to complete the payment.

The payment process:

  • Application Fee: An initial fee of £500 is required at the time of application submission.

  • Training Fee The remaining £3,900 for the training program is expected to be paid after you have been officially accepted, received the hospital’s acceptance letter, and obtained your visa. Please note that the payment must be completed no later than 4 weeks before the start of the training program.




Certificate :

Upon successful completion of the training, you will be awarded a certificate directly from the host hospital.
