Program Focus

The program is designed to enhance participants' knowledge of plastic surgery through supervised clinical exposure. This includes:

• Surgical Techniques and Operative Procedures: Exposure to a variety of procedures in the operating theatre, including skin cancer excisions, breast reconstruction, hand surgery, and complex wound closures. Insight into microsurgical techniques, flap design, and specialized surgical instrumentation.

• Trauma and Emergency Management: Insight into the management of acute presentations such as burns, hand injuries, and soft tissue trauma. Exposure to the assessment of burn depth, tendon repair techniques, and emergency surgical stabilization of complex defects.

• Peri-operative Care and Ward Management: Understanding the management of plastic surgery patients throughout the surgical journey. This includes pre-operative optimization, post-operative flap monitoring, specialized wound dressing application, and early identification of surgical complications.

Upon completion of the clinical attachment, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of plastic and reconstructive surgery services within an NHS hospital in the UK.   2. University Diploma.

  3. Specialty Diploma (Resident doctors are also eligible to apply).

  4. Any other international exam results you may have.

  5. English Test Result if available.
